The language of the subconscious mind is visual-picture oriented. This means that the subconscious mind learns, processes information and speaks-relates through visual-pictures.
Energy Assessments speak that language of the subconscious mind. Twenty-five years of research and experience are behind them. They transport you past your ego and mental mind defenses to more accurately assessing what is really occurring within you.
If I were to ask you whether you loved yourself, you might answer with your mental mind “of course, I do”. Whereas, if you answered from your subconscious mind you might have a different answer. Why is this?
It is difficult to self-assess for three main reasons.
First, we are not taught to 'update' on ourselves mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually (I have a schematic on updating that you can view in October's Energy Profile for 2008).
Imagine trying to wear clothes you wore in grade school. Or trying to walk in shoes you wore when you were a year old. It doesn't look, feel or function very well does it? Well this is true also of our beliefs, attitudes, perceptions, desires, goals and decisions. We need to periodically 'update' on them and because we are not taught to do this, we tend to see ourselves inaccurately.
Secondly, we don't know how to assess a dynamic. For instance, someone who has not experienced unconditional love as a child (and how many of us did?) may think they love themselves when it is obvious to others that they are self-destructive and non-accepting of themselves. These actions are not a part of genuine self-love. Or a person may become conceited thinking that this is self-love. The energy of true self-love actually prevents a person from becoming conceited.
Thirdly, all of us are in some form of denial about various things regarding ourselves—how we think others see us, how we see ourselves, who we think we are and what we really are exchanging energetically with others.
